We do not have the time to run this fast!

This remark was once a call for me to slow down and pause. To reflect on what I wanted, what I experienced, what I had become and was becoming. Slowing down and self-reflection are an investment in the quality of life and work. Who wouldn’t want that?

Since 1996, with a background in marketing, PR and positioning, I have been in conversation with people across many different sectors: individually, with teams, with managers and with boards. Their questions are universal, but the answers are unique. Searching for them takes dedication, shelter, inquiry and reflection. That is what I offer, with great fulfilment.

From what I heard and experienced myself, in desired and undesired situations, I developed the HartWerken body of thought. As a director, you want your course, the desired culture and the allocation of resources to be clear, and above all to be adjusted when needed. As a manager, you are directly responsible for the deployment, development and bundling of human potential. In my view, extra attention to this is badly needed right now.

Every individual, in every position: your self-care for wellbeing, potential and development must be given all the room it needs. Together, each in your own place, you share the responsibility to exert your influence, so that it keeps ringing true, clicking and fitting.

What matters to me is letting humanity and human strength happen, trusting the unique movement from within. With more awareness of the longing, and of the fears that hold us back from having the courageous conversation. It sounds easy. That is the wish, too, but you and I have to work for it: having the courage to make it easy.

Working hard (effectivity) and working smart (efficiency) are fine, but without heart work (essence) the core is missing. Human potential moves; touch it and let it touch you, with all the safety that deserves. Together we can win back what was lost, give expression to what is ripe, and leave behind what is no longer needed. Does it ring true? Does it click? Does it fit? Let’s start the conversation.

…….Stand still.

The forest knows where you are.

You must let it find you.
